Menorca Gold: Holiday Villas in Menorca
The Tourism Department of the Consell Insular of Menorca administrate the General Tourist Law of the Balearic Islands of 1999 in that there is an inspection service to ensure that all tourist enterprises fulfil the current law's requirements.
One of the current requirements of that Law is that villas in certain designated tourist areas have the corresponding registration of tourist activity or authorisation from the Consell Insular in Menorca to be able to let their property.
The registered properties are inspected by the Consell Insular to check that the description and measurements of the property are as described in the registration and that it has its corresponding Habitability Certificate.
Owners are responsible for ensuring that they have their property registered with the Tourist authorities. Local solicitors can advise on this matter and offer their services for this.
