Weather in Menorca
Menorca Gold: Luxury Holiday Villas and Apartments in Menorca.
Menorca has a typical Mediterranean climate. Winters are mild and summers very warm. In the main summer season, 11 hours of sunshine a day is typical and Spring and Autumn days are also warm, often with temperatures in the 20s. This is a great time to visit Menorca as the sun is not too hot, and flights and accommodation are much more competitively priced than in the main season. For example, many of our villas are just over half the price of a peak summer week.
Menorca is famous for its winds, the most prevalent of which is the northern Tramontana, which can scorch plants with a few days of strong gusts! There are fewer sunny days and the weather can be more unpredictable in November, December and January, but it is usually mild and often still warm enough to sit outside for a coffee on fine days.
Temperatures in Menorca rarely fall below zero and this means many people enjoy visiting Menorca out of season and over Christmas. Menorca Gold are happy to arrange extra heaters, although many of our properties offer heating and/or wood burners.
