Gemma's Blog, June

mahon-cafe-june-blog.jpgWell, as promised, this trip was a hot one! Most mornings the temperature was up to the late 20s by 10am (perfect with cafe con leche and a croissant I found) and into the mid 30s consistently every afternoon. With a lovely breeze, the weather was perfect. I had lots of new properties to see and photos to take so our brochure will be expanding for next season! This also means we have new properties on our books with dates free for this summer, so check out our New and Special Offers sections!

For those of you very familiar with Menorca, you may know 'El Mouldi', the green boat ostensibly abandoned by the ferry terminal at Mahon. Rumour has it that due to unmanageable fines, the owners decided to leave the boat in lieu of payment, and it has been living up to it's name ever since! Despite assurances in the local papers that the matter had finally been resolved, and the boat would be moved in the Spring, Ella was pleased to see 'my green boat' still in the harbour, although people have at last been sighted on it, so who knows what the future will hold?!

That's it again for this visit, but Janet, our new Client Services Manager will be making her first 'official' visit to Menorca in September (now it's someone else's turn to drive around the island like a maniac taking photos!), so our next blog entry will be from Janet. I've warned her that her lazy holidays on the beach at Son Parc are over! ;-)
